The ordinary assembly of the Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro was held on the evening of July 27th at its Rivarolo del Re headquarters, which unanimously approved the 2020 financial statements.

During the Assembly, President Paolo Voltini and General Manager Costantino Vaia highlighted the very satisfactory results. Consolidated revenues for 2020 marked a new increase, reaching 338.3 million Euros, with a growth rate of +10.1% compared to 2019, and a further increase in Gross Operating Margin (EBITDA), which rose from 28.3 to 34.2 million Euros.

With 70% of turnover, European and Extra-EU exports, have consistently been the cornerstone of the Consorzio's business and its subsidiaries, which also saw strong growth compared to 2019: SAC SpA (+16.1%) and Pomì USA (+36.5%).

Investments made in recent years, combined with a commercial strategy increasingly aimed at internationalizing the company's profile, have allowed the Casalasco Group to increase its production value in the "Core" segment of the business (simple or recipe-based tomato products).

The 2020 was a particularly positive year for the Pomì brand as well, both in Italy (+26.2% in revenue) both in exports (over +40% in revenue compared to 2019), with further growth in markets where it was already present (especially the United States, Germany, Austria, and the Middle East), by expanding the product range offered with new "specific" products for both emerging and consolidated markets.

The excellent results confirm the cooperative's business plan, which is increasingly determined to achieve international leadership thanks to significant short-term growth projects.
