Together with Banca di Piacenza, it contributes to the opening of the Pordenone Ascent in the Basilica of Santa Maria di Campagna in Piacenza

From March 4th to June 10th, the “Pordenone Ascent” will be open in the Basilica of Santa Maria di Campagna in Piacenza, rediscovering the so-called “Artists' Walkway”, with the opportunity for visitors to observe up close the frescoes by Giovanni Antonio de' Sacchis, known as Pordenone, in all their beauty and evocative power. A circular gallery is accessible in the dome, open to the city's exterior, offering a 360-degree panoramic view.

The initiative made possible by Banca di Piacenza together with several partners, including Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro, will give approximately 70,000 visitors the opportunity to admire not only the works of Pordenone, but also those of Guercino, Ignazio Stern, Antonio Campi, and Sojaro.

Moreover, the bond between the Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro and the local area is very strong, given that many members are agricultural entrepreneurs from Piacenza and one of its production facilities is located in Gariga di Podenzano.

The initiative also benefits from the patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.
