First events of 2019 for the Casalasco Tomato Consortium, which will be at the Winter Fancy Food in San Francisco (January 13-15) and then at Marca in Bologna (January 16-17).

Winter Fancy Food is the usual annual event on the US West Coast, where over 1,400 companies from around the world are expected to exhibit, showcasing approximately 80,000 food & beverage items and thousands of new products. In this edition, Casalasco will take center stage with two exhibition areas: one dedicated to the historic Pomì brand, showcasing new product lines, and another dedicated to the De Rica brand, which is launching in the American market with a new product line. This line will be distributed across the US through an exclusive sales network focused on high-quality Made in Italy products.

Subsequently, Casalasco will also be a key exhibitor at Marca in Bologna (Hall 30, Stand D29-E30), where it will showcase products from its co-packing and private label activities, as well as those under the Pomì and De Rica brands.

Marca confirms its position as the leading Italian trade fair for Private Label (MDD) and the second most important in Europe, with over 700 exhibitors and approximately 10,000 professional visitors at its last edition.

According to Bologna Fiere data, private label (MDD) is increasingly becoming a true brand that meets consumer needs on par with national brands, achieving significant milestones: in 2017, the sector saw a €266 million increase in turnover within the Packaged Consumer Goods (LCC) market, with a 1.7% rise in volume and a 2.7% increase in overall value.

Interest is particularly focused on segments like organic, functional, ecological, and free-from, where consumers are more vigilant and discerning, demanding absolute quality, sustainability, and safety.
