In recent days in Rome, at Palazzo Montecitorio, the awards ceremony for the third edition of "100 Italian Excellences", an initiative to promote Italy, conceived by the RDE publishing house.
The Casalasco Tomato Consortium received the prestigious award as an excellence in the Italian canning sector and, in the person of General Manager Costantino Vaia, was awarded by an honorary committee composed of authorities and entertainment figures including: the National Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor Franco Roberti, the General Director of Ismea Raffaele Boriello, the actor Carlo Verdone.
The Casalasco Tomato Consortium in just over 10 years has acquired two historic brands in the sector, Pomì and De Rica, becoming the leading national player for the cultivation and processing of industrial tomatoes.
Through the mapping of sectors and categories, "100 Italian Excellences" highlights at a national level a rich fabric of worthy representatives of Made in Italy, including illustrious personalities, companies, and organizations that, through their work, contribute and have contributed to enhancing the emblem of a distinctive brand, recognized worldwide.
During the ceremony, the following were also awarded: Giovanni Floris for journalism, Gaia Trussardi for fashion, Antonello Venditti for music, General Giorgio Toschi for the Guardia di Finanza, Tito Boeri for economics, and Franco Frattini for honors.
