The election was unanimous among the Delegates of the associated Cooperatives throughout Lombardy, which represent over 16,000 members. Voltini, who has led UE.COOP Lombardy since 2015, will remain in office for the next five years.
As UE.COOP - comments Voltini - we want to enhance a cooperative system that focuses on work and the quality of products and services, while respecting the rules of mutuality, solidarity, and transparency”.

Paolo Voltini, 45 years old, has been President of the Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro, an agricultural cooperative member of UE.COOP Lombardy and the leading Italian supply chain in the cultivation and processing of tomato derivatives, with 370 associated farms cultivating 7,000 hectares of land across the provinces of Cremona, Parma, Piacenza, and Mantua, yielding over 560,000 tons of fresh tomatoes harvested and processed.

Along with Voltini, during the regional assembly of UE.COOP, the five Lombard delegates who will participate in the election of the national president in 2018 were also chosen: Gianluigi Zenti of Monti e Laghi Nuova Società Cooperativa Agricola, Paolo Apicella of Aurea Assistenza e Cura Onlus, Primo Barzoni of Palm Work & Project Società Cooperativa Sociale, Ettore Prandini of Società Cooperativa La Vanga, and Sabrina Enza Moreni of Cooperativa Sociale Padanassistenza Lombardia.
