De Rica's supply chain takes center stage on Canale 5
On Sunday, July 4, the Casalasco Consortium will be featured on “Melaverde” to showcase the pea processing season.
The crew of Melaverde, a long-running show dedicated to agri-food, aired every Sunday on Canale 5 and hosted by Ellen Hidding and Vincenzo Venuto, visited the Casalasco Consortium, first in the fields in the province of Cremona and then at the Gariga (PC) plant, to document the pea supply chain just after the season concluded.
The segment, which will air on Sunday, July 4, starting at 11:55 AM, will tell the story of the De Rica pea supply chain, 100% Made in Italy, from field to finished product.
Host Ellen Hidding, along with the Consortium's company managers, will illustrate the various stages of harvesting and processing at the plant. During the broadcast, there will also be a focus on pea-based recipes, and the nutritional values and properties of this ancient legume will be discussed.
