Gruppo Casalasco, with its iconic brand Pomì, renews its support for the Paralympic athlete who, in June, will cycle for 24 consecutive hours at the Palma de Mallorca velodrome to set a new world record.

MAY 15, 2025 - Pomì and Andrea Devicenzi together again in 2025. This time, however, the sponsorship between Gruppo Casalasco's flagship brand, a symbol of 100% Italian quality, and the Paralympic athlete is strengthening for an unprecedented endeavor.
Devicenzi, born in 1973, from Casalmaggiore (Cr), will face another incredible challenge. From 12 PM on Saturday, June 7th, to 12 PM on Sunday, June 8th, at the Palma de Mallorca velodrome in the Balearic Islands, he will attempt to set a world record by cycling for 24 consecutive hours on the track, aiming to break the 500 km distance and 2000 lap barriers. This extreme, unprecedented goal combines physical and mental preparation, a spirit of sacrifice, and the desire to overcome one's limits.
"Supporting Andrea means endorsing an idea of sport and life that speaks to everyone: one where limits can be transformed into new possibilities," says Costantino Vaia, CEO of Gruppo Casalasco -. For years, Pomì has proudly stood by him because we believe in his example and share his message. The 24-hour track challenge is much more than a sporting feat: it's a concrete testament to what we can achieve when passion and tenacity combine to bring a clear vision to life. Together with him," concludes Vaia "we want to continue to inspire people of all ages, showing that every goal is possible when fueled by determination, commitment, and solidarity.".
This pioneering challenge for Paralympic sport represents another chapter in a journey that has seen Devicenzi travel the world for years – Italy, India, South America, Iceland, and the United States – carrying a message of hope, inclusion, and inner strength. In 2011, he also achieved the extraordinary feat of completing the 1230 km Paris-Brest-Paris in 72 hours. For almost 10 years, Pomì has continued to to ride alongside him as a committed partner, providing resources and support to allow him to fully focus on achieving his dream.
“I thank Gruppo Casalasco for supporting me with Pomì in this new challenge as well,” comments Andrea Devicenzi -. The fact that no one has ever attempted it until now shows how arduous and complex it is. I am training very hard, meticulously taking care of every detail. Since 2010, my staff and I have built solid know-how, and I am confident that this time too we will achieve something truly significant.”
